Rahul Gandhi Extends Support to Jungle Satyagraha (1930) – A Tribute to Adivasi Heritage

At Ficus Productions Private Limited, we are deeply honoured to share a milestone in the journey of our upcoming feature film “Jungle Satyagraha (1930): The Untold History”.

On 11th August 2025, Shri Rahul Gandhi Ji, Leader of Opposition, Lok Sabha, graciously addressed a letter to Shri Jual Oram Ji, Hon’ble Minister for Tribal Affairs, extending his strong support to our film and urging the Ministry to consider our requests for assistance.

Our film is based on the historic Jungle Satyagraha of 1930 in Betul, Madhya Pradesh — a peaceful Adivasi-led movement to protect Jal, Jangal, and Zameen against unjust British forest laws. With over 95% of the cast and crew drawn from Adivasi communities, the film celebrates their language, music, culture, and history, serving as a living record of their resistance.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Shri Rahul Gandhi Ji for recognising the importance of preserving and promoting this chapter of Adivasi history. His words not only validate our vision but also inspire us to ensure that such untold stories receive their rightful place in India’s cultural and historical narrative.

We are equally hopeful that Shri Jual Oram Ji will lend his valued support, helping us bring this inspiring story of Adivasi courage and resilience to audiences across the nation and the world.

This project is more than just a film — it is a movement to honour indigenous voices, safeguard cultural heritage, and share their legacy with the generations to come.
